What awards is our workplace eligible to win?

If your organization has at least 5 employees, you are be eligible to win Happiness Awards – National, Regional, Industry, and Leadership Awards.
i. At least 5 employees must participate in a Happiness Conversation to be eligible to win an award.
ii. For workplaces with 20 or more employees, at least 25% of employees must participate in a Happiness Conversation to be eligible to win an award.

How long do we have to wait to find out if we have won an award?

Results are available as soon as a Happiness Conversation is completed. Same day results and awards.

Which employees can be included in a Happiness Conversation?

  • Full-time employees
  • Part-time employees
  • Seasonal employees
  • Employees outside the U.S.
  • 1099 individuals
  • Unionized employees
  • Employees on extended leave (i.e. maternity and paternity leave, or other FMLA-related reasons)

Which employees can be included in a Happiness Conversation?

By the happiness of your people. Read more about each award and exact qualification here [link].

  • If 70% or more of your employees are satisfied, happy, or very happy – your workplace is recognized as an Amazing Workplace.
  • If 70% or more of your employees are happy or very happy at work – your workplace receives the Happiness Award.
  • If 80% or more of your employees are happy or very happy at work – your workplace receives the Distinguished Happiness Award.
  • National, Regional, Industry, and Leadership Happiness Awards are received based on the above criteria, your location, industry, and more.

Are Happiness Conversation responses confidential?

Yes, there is no way to connect responses to an individual employee.
Additionally, your award status is only shared with you, so there is no risk to your workplace’s reputation for participating.

How are Happiness Conversations sent to employees?

By email or phone.

What do you do with employee email addresses or phone numbers?

We never have and never will release an email or phone number to any third party or use this information for anything other than inviting an individual to take a Happiness Conversation.

When and where are award winners announced?

You can announce your awards at any time. We announce award winners four times a year through social media, LinkedIn and more – meaning millions will see your awards in the places where top talent live. We do an awards announcements every quarter. The first announcement is done in March, the second in June, the third in September, and the fourth, in December.
